Fire Escape Services in the Boston area has been an idea in Cisco Meneses mind for over 25 years. It started when Cisco improved the way in which fire escapes were inspected and repaired, while working with his father at Meneses Ironworks. He then started the first digital photo report for fire escape inspections while at his own company, Creative Ironworks, located in Newton Mass.
Finally, Fire Escape Services became the first company in all of New England dealing exclusively with Fire Escapes only. Fire Escape Services has been instrumental in changing the attitudes of many city officials in several states regarding the lack of maintenance and certification of fire escapes.
His involvement with Channel 7 helped in disclosing that 80% of Massachusetts fire escapes are not certifiable. He has changed the awareness in Rhode Island, which currently has no inspection laws for fire escapes.
He has helped many well known institutions, companies and individuals deal with certification.
